# Privacy notice

This notice explains what happens to your details when you sign up for AI in the UK emails or visit this site.

### Who we are

AI in the UK is a weekly podcast hosted by Niels Footman and Matt Wilkinson. The site and mailing list are run by Strivenn Limited (company number 11978061), Unit 15 No 2 Bulrushes Business Park, Coombe Hill Road, East Grinstead, West Sussex, RH19 4LZ. Strivenn Limited is the data controller for the details described here.

### What we collect

When you subscribe: your email address, your first and last name if you give them, and a record of your consent to receive emails (when you gave it and on which form).

When we email you: whether you open each email and which links you click.

When you visit the site: cookies set by HubSpot record which pages you view. If you play an episode in the embedded Spotify player, Spotify may set its own cookies, covered by Spotify's privacy policy.

### Why, and on what basis

We use your email address and name to send you the weekly episode email. We do this because you have consented to it, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.

We use open, click and page-view information to see which episodes and stories people read, so we can make the podcast better.

### Who else sees it

The mailing list and this site run on HubSpot, which stores and processes the data on our behalf. Our HubSpot account is hosted in HubSpot's EU data centre. HubSpot may access some data from the US; it covers those transfers in its data processing agreement.

We do not sell your details or share them with anyone else.

### How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep a record of that so you are not emailed again. If you would rather we deleted your details entirely, email us and we will.

### Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email us.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at [ico.org.uk](https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/) or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to sort it out first.

### Changes

If this notice changes, the date at the top will change with it.
